Tea samples collected from Darjeeling, Assam and Jalpaiguri gardens are subjected for metabolite quality analysis processes. The geographic factors including soil characters can influence the qualities of tea according to their inherent secondary metabolites. One of the major class of tea secondary metabolite is tea flavonoids responsible for tea quality parameters including Rutin, Quercetin, Epigallocatechin gallate, Tannic acid, Gallic acid etc. Spectrophotometric, Spectrofluormetric scan analysis, HPLC, FTIR analysis characterize the differential contents of different tea flavonoids of different origin. The results suggest that tea extracts from Assam, Darjeeling, and Jalpaiguri possess valuable bioactive secondary metabolites to impart antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. The variations in these properties can be attributed to a combination of factors, including soil characteristics and cultivation practices of the different origin of North eastern Indian tea gardens
2026-06-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Sudeshna Shyam Choudhury, Debapriya Maitra, Bedaprana Roy, Sejuti Ray, Sony Choubey, Bishista DasGupta, Suman Deb, Ankur Chattopadyay, Biswanath Ganguly Ardiansyah, Arup Kumar Mitra https://tcrjournal.com/index.php/tcrj/article/view/217 Strategi Pemberdayaan Perempuan di Emplasemen Guna Mendukung Kegiatan Ekoeduwisata di Perkebunan Teh Gambung 2026-06-12T15:04:28+07:00 Julia Wandani juliawandani393@gmail.com Kralawi Sita ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com Erna Herawati ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com
Partisipasi kolektif memperkuat solidaritas melalui mekanisme mentor sebaya, sementara inovasi produk berbasis identitas lokal meningkatkan kebanggaan psikologis sekaligus nilai ekonomi.

2026-06-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Julia Wandani, Kralawi Sita, Erna Herawati https://tcrjournal.com/index.php/tcrj/article/view/225 Analisis Daya Saing Teh Olahan (HS 210120) Indonesia di Pasar Global 2026-06-12T15:01:39+07:00 Mayda Rekha Azizah maydarekhaazizah@mail.ugm.ac.id Kralawi Sita ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com Sotya Tresna Anggita ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com Fadil Bagaskara ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com Arini Wahyu Utami ahmad.g.ardiansyah@gmail.com
The tea plantation sector contributes the lowest amount of foreign exchange to the country compared to other plantation commodities. Processed tea products (HS 210120) have great potential due to their high added value. However, Indonesia's processed tea exports have fluctuated over the past ten years and are at their lowest level compared to the 15 major exporting countries. This study analyses the market structure, competitiveness, and trade specialisation index of processed tea in the global market using secondary data from 1989 to 2023 from UN Comtrade. The analysis methods include the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), Export Competitiveness Index (ECI), and Trade Specialisation Index. The results show that the processed tea market has an HHI concentration of 154.94 with a monopolistic competitive structure. RCA < 1 indicates low comparative competitiveness, but ECI > 1 indicates strong competitive competitiveness. The processed tea market is highly potential, so a development strategy is needed for Indonesia to compete sustainably in the global tea market

Soil biological activity is an important indicator in assessing the effectiveness of organic fertilizers on increasing soil fertility. This study aims to evaluate the response of soil biological activity based on microbial populations and CO₂ respiration rates in various organic fertilizer formulations. The study was conducted at the Research Institute for Tea and Chinchona, Bandung, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with seven organic fertilizer treatments, namely tea waste biocompost, tea waste biocompost + Trichoderma spp., Bioneensis, Bioorganomineral, vermicompost, goat manure, and chicken manure, each with three replications. The parameters observed included the number of soil microbial populations and CO₂ respiration rates. The results showed that the type of organic fertilizer significantly affected the microbial population and soil CO₂ respiration. The highest microbial population was found in the tea waste biocompost, goat manure, and chicken manure treatments. The highest CO₂ respiration rate was found in the goat manure and tea waste biocompost + Trichoderma spp. treatments. The high CO₂ respiration was in line with the increased soil microbial activity, indicating the important role of organic fertilizer in increasing soil biological activity. Based on these results, tea waste biocompost + Trichoderma spp. and goat manure are recommended for field application because they are able to increase microbial activity and soil respiration optimally.

Keywords: CO₂ respiration, microbial population, organic fertilizers, tea waste biocompost, soil biological
2026-06-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Restu Wulansari, Davina Raisha Nathania
